Bio
Hi there, friend!
My name is Lucy Isaula.
I’m an actress and poet, raised and bred in the city of stars, Los Angeles. I’m of Honduran descent, first born generation; fluent in English and intermediate Spanish. I’ve had years of training at LA’s top acting schools: Lesly Kahn, Groundlings, Margie Haber Studios, Second City, and Playhouse West. I also sing (Mezzo-alto)!
I aspire to make heavy hitting films/tv that deal with the true human condition and psyche. Think Angelina Jolie in the ‘90s in Gia and Girl Interrupted. I also have a deep love for comedy! My natural quick wit and charm makes me an expert at the timing that comedy entails and character work.
The Judgmental Psychiatrist, that I starred in was screened at the Golden Gate Film Festival at the TLC Theater in Hollywood. Granada, a short film I starred in was also in the Los Angeles Latino Film Festival. Recently I shot a comedic short film up in Sacramento titled Don’t Ghost Me with the wonderful ladies of Latinas Acting Up. We are currently in post production.
Besides acting, I am also a poet. In 2020 I self published a poetry book called Then the Flowers Found Me: Prose Unspoken. It’s a anthology of poetry I wrote from 2018 - 2020 that chronicles two years of my life navigating darkness, love, heartbreak, self-care, self-love, and ultimately finding myself and the light.
